The Сenter Main Task is to provide technological platform, computing the educational process and scientific activities at the Faculties, Departments, various units and services of the University:

·       Setting up and developing the University Unified Information Network, providing integration of local network into global networks.

·       Setting up and maintenance of software to increase the quality of education and improving the management of the educational process.

·       Providing expert consulting services on equipping Faculties, Departments, including various units and services of the University with hardware and software.

·       Setting up the technological platform and technical support to Faculties and Departments on creation and launch of Electronic Educational Resources into ASU network.

·       Ensuring the service ability and productivity of both hardware and software systems of Computer Classes;

·       Rendering consulting services on using modern Information Technologies in the educational process and managerial activities;

·       Developing and maintaining ASU official Internet Website;

·       Supporting shifting the Linux software system localized at the Center into the Abkhaz Language;

·       Analyzing and testing computer systems and networks, creation of lab on repair and maintenance of computer equipment, technical and service means of computer equipment maintenance, including office equipment and network equipment: maintenance and development of ASU computer networks including wireless access networking and communication equipment, repair of computer equipment.
